An Award & Nominations of My Own

It's been quite some time since I actually posted about blog awards, so I thought I should feature one that I got recently.
Here are the rules: Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

So here are my nominations:
Choco at In Which a Girl Reads (she nominated me, but I recently discovered her blog, too)
Sheila at One Persons Journey Through a World of Books
Juju at Tales of Whimsey
Lea at YA Book Queen
Katie at Read What You Know
Laura at The Bookie Bunch (just discovered her blog this weekend)

Awards!

Well, I've gotten a few awards from some awesome bloggers, and I figured it was finally time to post them

I got the Zombie Chicken Award from Celi.a at adventures of cecelia bedelia
How fun is that blog name!?
The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all.

Juju from Tales of Whimsy gave me the Super Comments Award! She's a regular commenter here, so I'm sending this one back to her as well!

I don't know if there are rules for this one, but it's a picture of a panda...so it's automatically awesome.

McKenzie from The Book Owl, and Kelsey from The Book Scout gave me The Lemonade Award! Thanks to both of you
The Lemonade Award is a feel good award that shows great attitude or gratitude.

I'm going to try something a little different in terms of nominations for different blogs. Instead of picking individual blogs, I'm going to say that anyone who comments can take an award and post it on their blog.

Two Awards!

Rebecca at Everything To Do With Books gave me the Your Blog Rocks award (a little while ago, shame on me for not posting it sooner).
Amanda at The Zen Leaf gave me the awesome Zombie Chicken Award (woohoo)

The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all...

Reggie at The Undercover Book Lover
Megan at The Book Geek
Juju at Tales of Whimsy
Pirate Penguin at Pirate Penguin's Reads
Series(Ly) Ready

Teaser Tuesday, A Blog Award, And HP6 at midnight! (July 14)

Here's my teaser this week -

It's a meme hosted by Should Be Reading and here are the rules:
Grab your current read...
Open to a random page
Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on the page
Don't include spoilers!

"As I fought to keep the contents of my stomach in place, I realized I had been hung upside down and was being moved. I risked another peek and confirmed my suspicion that I had been thrown over the back of a horse."

Page 60, Magic Study, by Maria V. Snyder

I also got an award from vvb32 reads

The Kreativ Blogger Award

Technically, you're supposed to state 7 things that you like, and then nominate 7 other blogs for the award. At this point, however, I won't be doing that since I'm running out of the house. I'll have to update later. But thanks again for the award!!

On a different note, who is seeing Harry Potter at midnight? I know I am (yes, I'm that cool)

An Award

Darcy from Library Lounge Lizard has given me my first award!

This blog invests and believes in the Proximity - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this clever-written text into the body of their award.

I nominate the following blogs:
København (it's not a book blog)
ChicaReader
Everything To Do With Books
Michelle's Bookshelf
Reading is Bliss (who seems to have already gotten the award, but it's a great review site, so I'm linking anyway)
The Book Cellar
The Book Pixie
The Dreamer Reader

Thanks again to Darcy for the award!
